Grab your “krewe” for a jam-packed evening of music, traditional New Orleans fare, open bar, and the first-ever “Swim for the Beads” relay. Cheer on the teams of island celebrities Les Boyle, Craig Albert, and Steve Greenstein as they compete to reach first place.

Play to win by purchasing “Bourbon Bucks” to exchange for colored beads and raffle tickets to support the swim relay team of your choice. Purchase more beads to increase your chances of winning. The team that wins the swim relay will select the first raffle tickets of the night, giving supporters the best shot at winning a number of amazing prizes. At the end of the night, all remaining tickets will be pooled and a grand prize winner will be selected to win a trip for two to New Orleans with included airfare, three-night stay in the French Quarter, and complimentary access to local dining and cultural activities.

Every patron buying beads in support of any or all of the teams will have a chance to win big with amazing prizes such as a private airplane charter over the island and more from island businesses, including Lily Co. Jewelers, Sanibel Sea School, Jacaranda, Sanibel Day Spa, Sanibel Service Center, Traders Cafe, Sanibel Sunglass Company, Blue Giraffe Restaurant, and Cargo Trading Company.

CHR’s fourth annual fundraiser for Sanibel Island’s Community Housing and Resources will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with the support of over 60 businesses. The event is expected to draw a record number of islanders for an evening of support that will be jam-packed with entertainment, prizes, food, and fun.

The support of the community, including Zurbriggen Financial, has been strong. Gold sponsor Rick Zurbriggen and his staff believe in making a difference in people’s lives. It’s not too late to become a donor and change the lives of island residents. Join the ranks of dedicated island sponsors like Zurbriggen Financial, Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, and more, and assist in CHR’s mission of providing affordable housing on Sanibel.
