Community Housing and Resources, Inc. (CHR) welcomes Kelley Riedy as its new Director of Development and Communications. In this position, Riedy will oversee print and digital marketing efforts as well as various fundraising and development activities to increase grant funding and revenue for the organization.
“Kelley has already jumped right in to a variety of projects,” said CHR executive director Kelly Collini, “She has a great deal of nonprofit marketing and development experience which we can’t wait to utilize in her new role. We are looking forward to increasing our visibility in the community and being able to serve more Sanibel residents.”
Riedy began working at CHR at the beginning of August and brings to the position over ten years of experience in marketing and communications management, fundraising and grant writing, and special event planning which will be an exciting addition to the volunteer committee that oversees CHR’s signature Mardi Gras event each year. A Florida native, born and raised in Gainesville and a graduate of the University of Florida, Riedy recently located to the Fort Myers area from Tampa Bay where she worked as a marketing and communications manager for a well-known human services nonprofit. She is a provisional member of the Junior League of Fort Myers and is already actively attending events with the Sanibel Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals Association on the island.
