Manatee Madness on Sanibel 2021 Artist
Kym Mason

Sponsored by and Located at CIELO
Kym Mason was inspired by the memory of her dear friend and fellow artist, Marty Resetar, who died of cancer at an early age. She says he was always the life of the party, and as she was designing
her manatee, his spirit continued to move her toward something beautiful, functional but most of all, fun!
ARTIST: KYM MASON
Kym is an artist/designer who has been working on Sanibel and Captiva for 16 years. She loves the islands and has lent her talents and efforts to many local charities and community causes during her time here.
Kym received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She and her family, John Nader (Great White Grill) and daughter Tess, moved to the islands ten days before Hurricane Charley in 2004 to be near her parents (Joseph and Linda Mason) and brother (Joe Mason).
In her spare time she enjoys restoring her house, spending time with her friends and family, and traveling to see the Dave Matthews Band!
